Ralph
Ralph is the main character of this novel. He is the protagonist; he represents leadership and order. He is the chief of the civilized tribe who believed in that they would get rescued if they kept a big fire going. He has a father who works for the Navy. He has some conflicts with others because he only gives order to them. In my personal opinion he’s not a favorable character in books because he is so well-rounded he knows what he’s doing and thinks what will happen after taking action. Ralph is also incredibly active and he volunteers to go on dangerous adventures in the island. Ralph tries to reveal about the universal human experience is to be a leader that cares for his people and not giving up on a certain promise.

Piggy (Johnny)
Piggy is the character that was with Ralph from the beginning of the story until he died. He never left Ralph and chose Jack as his leader/chief. Piggy was the smart one that always uses his knowledge before he speaks up to the tribe. He was teased a lot but didn’t care about it a lot. Piggy is the kind of characters that we need in the universe to make it a better place. Piggy has an auntie, his parents died when he was young. In the novel Piggy is a very unfavorable character because he acts like he’s the only smart one and that uses his brain. But it’s true. My favorite character is Piggy because he thinks before he speaks, I don't like people who just say anything they want to and not thinking about what might happen after they say it. Piggy tries not to make enemies even though people tease him by his nickname. He just doesn’t say anything mean that would hurt their feelings. What Piggy tries to reveal about the universal human experience is not to give up on someone just because other people are following the other person. Keep on believing in the person who you think would be a great leader even though he/she has nothing with him/her at the moment.
Jack
Jack
Jack is the leader of the choir. He is an antagonist; he represents savagery and a dictator. He was picked as a leader from the choir because he could sing the highest pitch from the choir. At the first half of the book Jack was really cooperative with Ralph and they were like best friends. But as you flip the pages Jack turns into a savage who only wants power and respects from others. Jack is a favorable character in the novel because he goes hunting with his hunters (choir) and keeps the food on the table for the people who follow him. Personally I don't like Jack because he only thinks for himself. He only acts as if he is a good leader because he wants to buy the tribes respect. Jack tires to reveal about the universal human experience is that there are some leaders that shows the citizens of that country that he/she would be a perfect president for them if they vote for him/her.
Simon
Simon
Simon is a favorable character in the book he is the one who thinks about the benefit of not only him but the tribe. Simon is an okay character in the novel because he's at least not doing things for his own benefit. What Simon tries to reveal some universal human experience is that it’s important to be a person who will benefit not only him but even the others.
Roger
Roger is in the choir. In the savagery tribe he's extremely not only brutal but also a bloodlust. He even hits his own people in his tribe because they didn't listen to him. It’s like showing no respect to his own people. So I think, he is not a favorable character in the novel
