FREE WRITING

“Animal Farm”, this book gives me a lot of impression. So I look over myself again about what the friendship and trust are between me and my friends. As a teenager friendship is a very important part of my life. As I live throughout my life I must be able to make some friends to trust and some not to, because we don’t always have the same purpose. This book must have changed a lot of people because the book explains very well about the universal human experience. From now on I must try to be a person who is sincere and honest, because that will add up not only my own humanity but also my future credit.

Boys, trust your friends.

MOOD

In my perspective, the mood of “Animal Farm” is sort of disguised. Sometimes the mood is very happy because they take over the farm from Mr. Jones. But if you take your time to read it more closely, the mood is sort of dark when Napoleon kicks out Snowball by using his nine trained dogs. The mood of the story really doesn’t sadden me, because there really isn’t anything to be sad about. The problem that saddens me is when Snowball gets betrayed by his fellow friend Napoleon, and when Boxer killed a human with his iron shoes. I felt sad when the human got killed by Boxer because the guy who died was just helping Mr. Jones trying to get his farm back.

MEMORABLE PASSAGE

Mr. Jones, of the Manor Farm, had locked the hen-houses for the night but was too drunk to remember to shut the popholwes. With the ring of light from his lantern dancing form side to side he lurched across the yard, kicked off his boots at the back door, drew himself a last glass of beer from the barrel in the scullery and made his way up to bed, where Mrs. Jones was already snoring.

This is my favorite passage from the novel. This passage was very meaningful to me because I knew the feeling of wanting to go to bed very badly. Like you just want to go home, take off your shoes, and lie down on your bed and go to sleep. Also, this passage was very interesting because the author even included that he made mistakes. As you know well, people make a lot of mistakes especially when they are tired and exhausted.
